The HSE Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating Health, Safety, and Environmental training programs that ensure employees understand and comply with company policies, legal requirements, and best practices in workplace safety. The role supports a proactive safety culture by enhancing employee knowledge, competency, and engagement in HSE matters.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Development
Design, develop, and deliver HSE induction and refresher training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
Conduct training sessions on topics such as hazard identification, risk assessment, safe work practices, emergency response, fire safety, first aid, and environmental management.
Prepare training materials, presentations, manuals, and assessment tools tailored to the audience.
Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant HSE regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure training content is current and compliant.
Compliance & Documentation
Maintain accurate training records, certificates, and attendance logs.
Ensure all employees receive mandatory HSE training as per company policy and regulatory requirements.
Support audits and inspections by providing training documentation and evidence of compliance.
Contribute to the development and implementation of the company's HSE training matrix and annual training plan.
Advisory & Support
Support site supervisors and managers in implementing HSE training initiatives.
Provide coaching and mentoring to employees on safety behaviors and practices.
Participate in incident investigations and use lessons learned to improve future training.
Promote a positive safety culture through awareness campaigns and toolbox talks.
