Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor HSE performance and practices to ensure operations and plant assets comply with ADNOC HSE standards, policies, and procedures
  • Act as a focal point for implementation and continuous improvement of HSE management systems across group companies
  • Review HSE reports, feedback, and inputs to ensure timely and aligned support for HSE-related matters
  • Participate in complex and high-impact HSE inspections covering equipment installation, asset operations, start-up, loading, offloading, and shutdown activities
  • Facilitate understanding and communication of ADNOC HSE Management System and Codes of Practice across business units
  • Review and update purchasing standards to ensure equipment and materials meet applicable safety codes and latest technology requirements
  • Contribute to development of safety programs, manuals, hazardous area instructions, and safety awareness materials
  • Prepare and update safety inspection checklists and schedules to assess hazards and track corrective actions
  • Participate in HSE studies including HSE Impact Assessments, HAZOP, HAZID, risk assessments, and root cause analysis
  • Audit and assess deployed HSE projects, initiatives, and updates to ensure sustainable and continuous development
  • Analyze accidents, recommend corrective and preventive actions, and follow up implementation until close-out
  • Participate in accident investigations as directed by HSE management to support effective decision-making
  • Support review and enhancement of audit and contractor management procedures
  • Participate in level 2 internal audits and level 3 corporate audits to ensure compliance and performance consistency
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor degree in Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • Minimum 6 years of experience, including at least 3 years in a Safety or HSE Engineer role
  • Proven experience in HSE project implementation, inspections, and management systems
  • Exposure to drilling, operations, construction, petrochemicals, or refinery environments
Skills Set
  • Strong knowledge of ADNOC HSE requirements, UAE regulations, and international standards
  • Experience with incident investigation, risk assessment, and audit processes
  • Effective communication, coordination, and reporting skills
  • Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and complex operational environments
