We are hiring an experienced
HSE Lead
to manage the Health, Safety & Environment function for a Brownfield Expansion Project inSohar, Oman
. The ideal candidate will bring10-15 years
of solid HSE experience, including at least5 years in leadership roles
on brownfield construction or commissioning projects.This role requires strong strategic thinking, a solid grasp of international HSE standards, and hands-on site leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead HSE engineering initiatives and mentor junior staff. Manage complex audits, inspections, and compliance frameworks. Oversee incident investigations and root cause analyses. Develop and maintain HSE documentation and programs. Drive implementation and improvement of the HSE Management System. Prepare safety performance reports and conduct trend analyses. Conduct Toolbox Talks, JSAs, and risk assessments. Monitor contractor HSE performance and follow up on action plans. Liaise with the Client on all HSE matters and submit reports as per standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Environmental/Safety/Chemical preferred).
NEBOSH IGC
certification (mandatory). Additional certifications like CSP, CIH, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor are a plus. Proficiency in English + Hindi or Chinese (Arabic is an advantage). Strong knowledge of international HSE standards. Minimum 5 years in a lead role on brownfield industrial projects. Competency in MS Office and digital safety reporting tools.Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED16,000.00 - AED18,000.00 per month
