To monitor and ensure that all project activities are performed in compliance with ADNOC's HSE policies, standards, and approved procedures. The HSE Inspector plays a critical role in implementing safety measures, conducting inspections, and maintaining ADNOC-approved HSE standards during all onshore and offshore operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. HSE Supervision & Compliance
Enforce ADNOC-approved HSE standards, procedures, and regulations at the worksite.
Monitor and inspect daily site operations to ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE requirements.
Verify the implementation of risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
Stop any unsafe act or condition and report immediately to the HSE Manager / ADNOC Representative.
2. Site Inspections & Audits
Conduct regular inspections on scaffolding, lifting operations, confined space entries, excavation, and hot work.
Participate in internal and external HSE audits and inspections with ADNOC officials.
Maintain inspection records and track corrective and preventive actions until closure.
3. Incident Prevention & Investigation
Report and record all unsafe acts, near misses, and incidents promptly.
Participate in accident/incident investigations and assist in root cause analysis.
Recommend corrective measures and follow up to ensure implementation.
4. Training & Awareness
Conduct toolbox talks, safety induction, and awareness sessions for new and existing personnel.
Ensure that all workers are trained, certified, and competent as per ADNOC requirements.
Promote a positive safety culture through continuous engagement with the workforce.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily HSE logs, checklists, and reports for ADNOC review.
Prepare HSE statistics, safety observation reports (SOR), and monthly performance reports.
Coordinate with the client (ADNOC) for HSE documentation, audits, and safety campaigns.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Science / Safety / Environment or equivalent.
Certifications (Mandatory):
ADNOC HSE Inspector Approval Card / Certificate.
NEBOSH IGC or equivalent recognised safety qualification.
IOSH Managing Safely (preferred).
First Aid, Firefighting, H2S & BA Training (mandatory for offshore).
Experience:
Minimum 5-10 years experience in oil & gas projects (onshore/offshore).
Minimum 3 years in ADNOC projects as an HSE Inspector.
In-depth knowledge of ADNOC Codes of Practice, Control of Work, and SIMOPS.
Key Skills:
Strong understanding of ADNOC HSE systems and documentation.
Excellent hazard identification and risk assessment skills.
Strong communication and leadership abilities at multicultural sites.
Proficient in PTW, auditing, and incident investigation techniques.
Capable of working independently under ADNOC-approved supervision.
