Enforce and oversee implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and safe systems of work in accordance with company standards and statutory regulations.
Carry out routine site inspections, safety audits, and hazard identification to ensure compliance and recommend corrective actions where required.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed investigation reports and monitor implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training programs for employees and subcontractors.
Monitor and ensure correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety rules on site.
Assist in the development and review of HSE documents including risk assessments, method statements, and emergency preparedness plans.
Liaise with project teams, supervisors, and contractors to promote a positive safety culture and safe working environment.
Maintain accurate HSE records, statistics, reports, and performance metrics.
Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HSE performance.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
3-5 years of proven experience as an HSE Engineer in construction, facilities management, industrial, or similar sectors.
NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, or IOSH certification is preferred / mandatory.
Strong understanding of local and international HSE laws, standards, and best practices.
Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to deliver effective safety training and promote HSE awareness across all levels.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
