Position Overview
ADNOC Group is hiring an HSE Engineer to monitor health, safety, and environmental performance across plant operations and assets. The role ensures compliance with HSE standards, supports implementation of HSE management systems, leads HSE initiatives and inspections, and provides guidance, training, and technical support to operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor HSE inspection activities and ensure equipment, services, and processes comply with HSE standards.
  • Review HSE reports, feedback, and inputs from technical, projects, and quality teams to ensure coordinated support for HSE concerns.
  • Participate in complex and high-impact inspection activities including equipment installation, startup, shutdown, loading, and offloading operations.
  • Serve as focal point for HSE management systems, ADNOC COPs, and safety-related communication with plant personnel.
  • Review purchasing standards to verify compliance with applicable safety codes and modern technology requirements.
  • Identify hazardous activities, support mitigation measures, and ensure proper disposal of waste, toxic chemicals, and hazardous materials.
  • Monitor PPE, safety equipment, and environmental tools to support safe operations and HSE processes.
  • Recommend preventive maintenance and follow up on safety programs to ensure optimal functioning of safety installations.
  • Contribute to development and improvement of safety programs, manuals, instructions, and hazard area guidelines.
  • Prepare and update HSE inspection checklists and schedules for facility surveys and hazard assessments.
  • Lead and participate in HSE studies such as HAZOP, HAZID, HSEIA, risk assessments, root cause analysis, and impact assessments.
  • Audit and evaluate HSE initiatives, projects, and improvements to ensure long-term sustainability.
  • Lead housekeeping and environmental initiatives to maintain safe working conditions.
  • Assess HSE training needs, conduct training programs, and facilitate emergency drills and evacuation exercises.
  • Communicate HSE updates, standards, policies, and technological improvements to operational personnel.
  • Prepare analyses and reports for routine and non-routine HSE activities.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor degree in Safety, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering fields.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience, including at least 3 years as a Safety or HSE Engineer.
  • Experience in HSE inspection, project implementation, training, and awareness programs.
  • Strong hands-on experience with TRA, HAZID, HAZOPS, PSSR, HSEIA, and other risk assessment methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE standards, ADNOC COPs, and industry regulations.
  • Ability to lead inspections, conduct training, and advise teams on HSE practices and compliance.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH, NIOSH NPG, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or ISO 27000 are preferred.
