Job Overview:
The HR Officer will be a pivotal part of our school's operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of all human resources processes. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with extensive hands-on experience in the UAE educational sector, particularly with KHDA and UAE labour law compliance. The ideal candidate will be the go-to expert for all HR matters, providing essential support to our management and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment cycle for academic and non-academic staff.
  • Coordinate and conduct new staff orientation and onboarding programs to ensure a seamless integration into the school community.
2. Visa, Labour Card & KHDA Coordination:
  • Process and renew employment visas, labour cards, and Emirates IDs for all staff.
  • Prepare, submit, and manage all documentation required by the KHDA (Knowledge and Human Development Authority) for staff licensing and school compliance.
  • Stay updated on changes in UAE labour law and KHDA regulations.
3. HR Operations & Administration:
  • Maintain and manage staff attendance records and generate accurate monthly payroll reports for processing.
  • Administer employee leaves (sick, annual, maternity/paternity), benefits, and insurance schemes.
  • Handle all exit formalities, including clearances and processing of final settlements (EOSB).
4. HRIS & Data Management:
  • Utilize the school's HRMS/ERP system proficiently for all data entry, management, and reporting purposes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date physical and digital employee records.
5. Employee Relations & Policy:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries and grievances, providing effective solutions in line with school policy.
  • Draft, update, and implement HR policies, procedures, employee handbooks, and all forms of official communication (offer letters, appointment letters, warning letters, etc.).
  • Foster a positive work environment through staff well-being initiatives and conflict resolution.
6. Performance & Development:
  • Support the administration of the annual performance appraisal process.
  • Coordinate professional development training sessions and workshops for staff.
Mandatory Requirements:
  • Prior school experience in the UAE is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as an HR Officer or similar role, specifically within a UAE school.
  • In-depth, hands-on experience in all the following areas is required:
  • Staff recruitment & onboarding.
  • Visa, labour card, and KHDA documentation processing.
  • Staff attendance management & payroll generation.
  • HRMS / ERP data management.
  • Employee relations & grievance handling.
  • Performance appraisal support.
  • Leave & benefits administration.
  • Drafting HR policies and official communications.
  • Exit formalities & final settlement processing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UAE Labour Law and KHDA regulations.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Must be available to join immediately.
