HR Manager

Must have Start-up Experience.

Position Overview:

As the HR Manager, you will play a vital role in establishing and maintaining a strong HR foundation for our organisation. This includes managing payroll, hiring the team and other key HR-related functions on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of prior HR experience and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and dynamics of the internet startup environment.

Responsibilities: * Develop and implement HR policies and procedures tailored to the needs of the internet startup industry, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding processes.
  • Oversee and execute payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Administer benefits programs and coordinate open enrollment processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters, including policies, procedures, and employee relations issues.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR systems to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and record-keeping requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and changes in employment laws and regulations, and proactively recommend necessary changes to company policies and practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance and legal, to ensure alignment and consistency in HR-related matters.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
Qualifications: * Bachelor\'s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Experience managing payroll and other HR-related functions on a daily basis.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing and administering HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively collaborate with employees at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and provide innovative HR solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Passion for the internet startup industry and prior experience with internet startups, ecommerce companies, tech and marketing hiring, gaming company, consulting background will be a big plus.
