The role includes oversight of hiring processes, staff orientation, HR policy implementation, document compliance, and employee support, all while ensuring alignment with UAE labor law and GEMS internal standards. Key Responsibilities
Manage recruitment and onboarding for all teaching and non-teaching roles
Coordinate with the GEMS recruitment team and handle all administrative aspects of hiring
Ensure timely onboarding of Emirati staff in line with Emiratisation targets
Prepare contracts and coordinate with Government Relations for Ministry documentation
Oversee travel booking, orientation, and new hire induction processes
Maintain HR records, employee files, HRIS data, and policy documentation
Generate required reports and employee documents including salary certificates and NOCs
Ensure compliance with HR policies, benefit programs, and UAE labor regulations
Provide employee relations support and guidance to staff and management
Serve as the first point of contact for all HR-related inquiries and disputes
Manage separation procedures including documentation, clearance, and exit interviews
Work collaboratively with other HR Managers and school leadership teams
Participate in ERP and HR system implementation and development
Contribute to engagement initiatives and serve as an HR representative on internal committees
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree or relevant diploma in Human Resources or related field
Minimum 2 to 3 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a school environment
Strong knowledge of UAE labor law and HR compliance
Experience using HR management systems and databases
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage employee relations in a diverse workplace
Strong attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills
Experience working in a multicultural setting is preferred
Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
