Job Description

Job Purpose :The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including Recruitment of both White color and Blue Color employees, Labour Supply hiring Management, Compensation & Benefits, Compensations surveys, Performance Management; training of employees, Travel desk Management; employee grievances and enforcing company policies and practices. Ensure smooth overall functioning of HR operations activities to support employees on a day to day basis, by leading and directing the Human Resource team to deliver comprehensive HR support services to the Facility. To support the people management functions that underpins the business culture.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Manage all administration requirements for all employees, including office supplies.
  • Reviews and recommends policy and procedure update in compliance with local labour laws and regulations.
  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting and retention as maybe the case.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital.
  • Provides support and guidance to the HR team, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Oversee Internal audit proceedings and attend external audit meetings. Ensure closure of all audit findings.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues.
  • Ensure that training and development needs that have been identified are met with in a timely manner and consistent with Company goals.
  • Provide full support in resolving any legal issues in compliance with the statutory requirements.
  • Manage absence, disciplinary actions, grievances, sickness management etc. Measure employee satisfaction and identify areas that require improvement.
  • Keep a watch on Attrition and develop measures to keep it within target range and support employee retention programme for high potential employees.
  • Contribute to staff welfare programmes and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Hold the torch and encourage employees on HSES awareness. Ensure Compliance with all applicable information security policies and procedures.

  • Assist in the development and execution of the company\'s compensation strategy, which includes determining pay scales, incentive plans, and ensuring competitiveness in the job market. Conduct research and analysis to ensure that the company\'s compensation practices align with industry benchmarks and are competitive. Administer salary reviews, promotions, and job evaluations.
  • Oversee and manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, life insurance, business travel, contingency plans etc. This involves collaborating with benefit providers, negotiating contracts, and educating employees on their options.
  • Ability to analyse market trends and internal pay equity to make informed recommendations.
  • Proficiency in managing employee benefits programs, including health insurance and other plans from enrolment to issue resolution. Good understanding of UAE labour law, regulations, and compliance requirements related to compensation and benefits. Effective communication, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to negotiate and manage contracts with benefit providers, ensuring cost-effective and beneficial arrangements for company and employees. Handle sensitive employee compensation and benefits information with utmost confidentiality.
  • Plan, develop and implement strategies for the groups labor management, via a centralized concept and in coordination with the production and HR teams.
  • Provide leadership and effectively manage the labour resource team and supervise direct reports. Manage and support the work activities of the team in accordance with LGMS.
  • Monitor and report to the management on labour issues, development plans and achievements.
  • Ensure that labor costs are tracked, controlled and efficiencies maximized to minimize the group labor rate. Define and set out Cost Account Manager KPIs that are affecting the labor rate model.
  • Ensure that the resource plans are properly prepared in accordance with the Groups requirements and monitored to ensure the timely mobilization of resources. Liaise with Department Managers to ensure their needs are accurately identified and resources are available, skilled and on time.
  • In conjunction with the HSES and yard management teams ensure that all aspects of the project are executed safely and in full compliance with HSES procedures. Support a positive and effective HSES culture for the labor force.
  • Manage Labour Hire subcontracts and ensure they are properly administered. Invite support from SCM as appropriate and coordinate with relationship manager, HR Manager, Yard Operations & Resourcing.
  • Support labor resource team to manage absence, discipline, grievances, sickness etc. Grievances are to be referred to HR.
  • Support Transport Dept in directing fleet department activities.
  • Manager all aspects of Business Travel, manage travel arrangements, assist with choosing the best corporate travel agency for the business, organize and monitor travel expenses, and look out for the well-being of business travelers.
  • Make sure day-to-day operations of employee and client canteen run smoothly and efficiently to provide breakfast and lunch service to employees, clients and guests.
  • Able to communicate clearly with all levels within the organization and with external stake holders.
  • Ability to handle stress and work under a high pressure environment.
  • Should be approachable and able to work collaboratively.
  • Highly organized, with strong work ethic.
  • High level of respect towards HSES policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of UAE labour laws. Knowledge of India and Saudi labour laws would be an added advantage.
KPI :
  • Timely reporting of agreed matrix.
  • Taking the lead on the functions risk (and mitigation) matrix for regular reviews with HR Director
  • Annual review of competency matrices to ensure positions in the business are accurately reflected along with their associated competencies.
  • Keeping up to date with local labour laws.
  • Meeting agreed SLAs in Recruitment; Absence Management, C&B and Training.
  • Managing the compensation and benefits task, focusing on cost control, competitiveness, employee satisfaction, compliance, and efficiency
Role Competencies
  • Minimum 15 years experience in Human Resources with at leave 5 years in a decision making capacity.
  • Bachelors degree Qualification in Human Resources would be desirable.
  • Generalist background and with good knowledge in Human Resource Management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to maintain professional demeanor in difficult or stressful situations; patience with internal customers; ability to diffuse anger and deal with difficult customers.
  • Able to communicate well with confidence. Approachable; relates easily to diverse groups and individuals; builds and develops relationships.
  • Highly organized.
  • High level of HSES awareness .
