General Overview:
Our client, a large Multinational Holding Firm is looking to hire a HR Manager to join their team in Dubai, UAE. The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department and work with Senior Management to implement a best in practice HR strategy that is aligned with the business objectives. The HR Manager will be responsible for over 1,500 employees across different sectors including power generation and distribution, oil refining/trading/shipping, and telecommunications. You will ideally come from an energy background within the Gulf region
Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands and issues.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Develop learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and issues in accordance with company policy and maintains records.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law.


Requirements

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree (or equivalent) in HR or related field.
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree (is a plus) in a related field or CIPD or SHRM.
  • Strong Understanding of national laws related to HR.
  • 12+ years of industry experience in HR, minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a managerial position in U.A.E. (preferably in energy sector).
