Summary
As the Manager of the Corporate HR Team, reporting to the VP of Immigration and Emiratisation, the Human Resources Manager is to be responsible for operations of the human resources function for Middle East.

General objectives of the role
  • Oversee the development and implementation of all HR processes and policies in Middle East
  • Lead all HR activities, daily operations and oversee the HR team and all aspects of HR activities in Middle East.
  • Build professional relationships with employees and act as the point of escalations for queries and concerns including but not limited to advise on employment legislation changes.
  • Ensuring HR operations are executed efficiently for the Middle East region.
  • Continue to develop the impact of Human resources on operational and business strategy across the gulf region.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the day to day management of activities of the Human Resources function you will plan and ensure the delivery off an efficient business services toa all members of the gulf region, both internal employees and contractors.
  • Act as the point of escalation for more complex HR queries and ensuring that the advice and recommendations provided by your team are in compliance with the legislation of the respective country and also in the best interests of both the employee and the business.
  • Build effective working relationships with staff at all levels, providing advice and guidance on a range of HR policies and HR related issues to support understanding and ensure effective communication of good HR practice.
  • Coach and mentor the leadership team to ensure that any action or decisions taken are in compliance with legislation, and eliminate or minimise any exposure of the business to claims either now or in the future.
  • Lead any disciplinary or performance related investigations, by meeting the concerned individuals and establishing conclusions/action plans to be taken.
  • Acts as the performance improvement driver and provokes positive changes in the people management. Coach, coordinate and oversee the annual performance review procedure with managers and employees in line with the strategic objectives of the business.
  • Identify areas of process and policy improvement to enhance the range of services available to employees and managers in an effective manner.
  • Increase awareness on policies and initiate HR Clinics where necessary to conduct refresher trainings on HR policies and procedures.
  • Where required, support the business in client meetings to advise on HR policy and legislation.
  • Ensure the maintenance of Employee data and records to develop a data driven policy and process development culture, identifying quality, cost and efficiency improvements that will enhance the working conditions of the majority.
  • Analyse relevant data and provide reports and HR metrics to ensure performance measures are being used to effectively manage operations, identify, and manage risks, and effect organizational change.
  • Reviewing and approving the payroll and ensure that all notification and information such as salary change, deductions, unpaid leave, overtime etc. has been communicated to Finance.
  • Drive and support the VP of Immigration and Emiratisation to strengthen employee engagement and rewards program, successful implementation of HR programs and initiative.
  • Research best practices, recommending new initiatives, following up on their implementation and improving them accordingly. Review and benchmark the internal and external environment to set up and improve the HR policies and initiatives to enhance overall business performance.
  • Ensure maintenance of HR documentation, tracking and filing and HR systems
  • Any ad hoc HR duties when required
Qualification
  • UAE National with Family Book
  • University degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences or Human Resources from a recognized university
  • Professional certification from HRCI, SHRM or CIPD desirable

Skills Required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of human Resources Legislation and best practices across the Gulf Region.
  • Ability to analyse, review and develop Human Resources Policy both in line with Legislation and in the development of the employer offering.
  • Experience analysing large volumes of employee data to identify trends and potential areas of remediation.
  • Extensive knowledge of a range of HRMS and technology platforms to ensure a seamless delivery of HR services to the organisation.
  • Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships at all levels, up to and including executive management.
  • Good presentation and communications skills

Experience
  • A minimum of 10 years in a Human Resources in a multi-national organisation with a minimum of 5 years spent in a Human Resources management position.
