About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen for an HR Executive to join the Human Resources Team at Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The purpose of this role is to support the implementation of transactional HR activities related to the effective and efficient provision of HR support services for the Hotel, as per the required service level agreements, policies, and procedures.

The main responsibilities are:

  • Manage the onboarding process including sending Letter of intent and contracts, requests for employment visas, recruitment clearances, booking flights / transport, requesting company accommodation, freight, and setting up new worker in Tahweel (HR system). etc.
  • Liaising with onboarding candidates to answer questions and provide guidance in every step of the onboarding process
  • Support the development of the induction plans via collaboration with HODs and Line Managers
  • Prepare HR onboarding material and forms for new joiners to complete on their first day relating to company compliance, banking, and administration.
  • Preparing announcements of new colleagues on various communications channels as per company guidelines
  • Provide HR administrative services, such preparing employee files and maintain employee records within the relevant system to ensure easy retrieval for future reference.
  • 30/60/90 day follow up with new joiners to check in during the probation period, ensure there are no issues to address and to provide clarity on company background, expected performance and behaviors as well as to ensure smooth integration.
  • Presenting at the JBH Orientation program on the role of Human Capital and important policies.
  • Generate reports from Oracle ERP (Tahweel) on a regular basis to ensure current information is available to the HR team.
  • Act as an interface for colleagues to answer any transactional HR queries regarding HR policies and procedures, payroll, benefits & provide further clarity and transparency.
  • Assist with calculating monthly service charge allocation.
  • Preparing internal communication as needed
  • Assisting to organize engagement events, to ensure that HR activities are carried out as per the agreed upon plans and timelines.
  • Collaborate Colleague Services and the Visa team on matters such as visa, colleague housing and external administration.
  • Assist to process the monthly payroll, in cooperation with the payroll function, to ensure that salaries and other cash payments are transferred to the employees on time.
  • Act as champion for the Time and Attendance system (in Oracle ERP Tahweel) and facilitated training, audits, and act as a helpdesk to answer questions as needed.
  • Assist the HRD with operations relating to the colleague cafeteria through stakeholder management with the service provider, ensuring that audits are regularly reviewed and reviewing then processing invoices in accordance with company policies.
  • Raise purchase requisitions for purchases related to HR services and activities provided by external vendors.
  • Complete day-to-day activities by following all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner while delivering a quality service to guests and maintaining standards of excellence.
About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
  • Degree in Business, Human Resources Management, or related discipline from an accredited and renowned university.
  • 2-year minimum experience working in a multi-cultural / 5-star hotel environment with a similar role will be an added advantage.
  • At least 2 years of Human Resources experience, preferably with an international hospitality company or a recognized blue-chip organization.
  • Knowledge of key HR frameworks, mainly the ones related to training and talent management.
  • Understanding of core hotel operations and of the luxury hospitality industry.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good presentation, relationship management, and teamwork skills.
  • Good English communication skills
  • Flexibility and multi-tasking skills.
  • Expert in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
