Job Description

Key responsibilities
  • Being the main point of contact for the TLO for all transport requests and issues
  • Liaise with the Team Liaison Officer (TLO), Team Security Liaison Officer (TSLO), and Logistics daily to coordinate and agree on the daily schedule of the Team’s dedicated vehicles and drivers.
  • Oversee the coordination of the team vehicles and drivers
  • Ensure the vehicles and drivers are briefed and ready on standby well in advance of the team’s departure
  • Daily briefing with the drivers to ensure they understand daily movements and timings required
  • Supporting drivers with any queries and issues and liaising with Q22 Fleet and Bus management to resolve them as required
  • Resolving any vehicle issues, e.g., maintenance requirements by liaising with bus and fleet management as required
  • Ensures the drivers are fuelling, cleaning, and following all the vehicle procedures accurately.
  • Scheduling meal breaks and breaks for drivers in accordance with the daily schedule to ensure there is always driver coverage when team vehicles are needed.
  • Ensure drivers follow all agreed policies and procedures regarding Team Vehicles
  • Liaising with Security to support the bubble-to-bubble operations for all Team movements and also including the daily vehicle servicing procedures.
  • Manages Transport Crew
  • Ensure Team load zones at the hotel are always available for teams.
  • Submits daily reports as required including issues and incidents.
  • Report to the Hotel Venue Transport Manager
  • Escalate and inform the Hotel Venue Transport Manager immediately of all major incidents and issues.
  • Any other duties may be required
Qualifications and experience
  • Education – Bachelor’s Degree in Transport, Civil Engineering, Project management, Event Management, Major Sports events, or a combination of education and experience relating to the position.
  • Minimum of Five (5) years Transport work experience: ideally within the football, sport, event or Three (3) years of experience as a Venue Transport Manager, or Three (3) years equivalent management position.
  • Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from support staff, managers, and clients. Individuals must be motivated, capable of working independently, and with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Venue, sites, and facilities operation experience within at least one mega project event, ideally more than one world-class sports event (e.g., FIFA World Cup and/or Olympic Games, Regional Football Tournaments, etc.).
  • Experience working with public and private sector partners in a collaborative environment and ability to build strong partnerships.
  • Basic knowledge of transit operations involved in moving FIFA Constituents by vehicles, including city layout
  • Intermediate knowledge of administration and management principles
  • Intermediate knowledge of business process management
  • Ability to prioritize customer’s needs, authority requirements, and FIFA/Q22 regulations
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented

  • Planning software and online collaboration tools (an asset)
  • Any other duties that may be assigned
