Overview of the role:

• Maintain economical fuel consumption through good driving practices and ensure vehicles are filled with a full tank at the end of each shift.
• Inspect Truck, Car-Carrier and load for defect during and after trips and submit a written report if any defect found.
• Submit all relevant items listed in the driver SOP accurately and on time; including Trip Sheets, Fuel Receipts, signed DOs, Police Reports and Defect Sheets.
• Maintain a 100% damage-free record. Report all accident or incidents involving company equipment to Planning Team. Accurately maintain driver logbook in accordance with company requirements.
• Provides a communication link between customers and Planning staff. Good communication and diplomacy skills required.
• Knowledge of basic truck & automotive maintenance procedures. Awareness and compliance of company Health & Safety Policy. Knowledge of UAE roads and RTA regulations.
• Adhere to company Quality SOP for driving and handling new vehicles.

Required Skills to be successful:

• Heavy-duty vehicle UAE driving license with class category 3 & 4.
• At least 2 years' experience in driving car carriers, flat bed or low bed trailer trucks and heavy goods vehicles.
• Ability to speak, read and write in English and preferably some basic Arabic speaking & writing skills.
• Willing to work at an open yard

As a Heavy Vehicle Driver your task is to deliver new vehicles to the correct location, without damage and whilst adhering to all current company policies.

What equips you for the role:

• Valid Heavy-duty vehicle UAE driving license with class category 3 & 4
• Matriculation passed
• 2 years’ experience driving class 4 vehicles with trailers
• Knowledge of basic automotive maintenances procedures
