Job Title: Heavy Machinery Garage Supervisor Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Heavy Machinery Garage Supervisor to lead our maintenance team in the upkeep, repair, overhaul, and coordination of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems in heavy machinery. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in heavy machinery hydraulic maintenance, repair, and overhauling, coupled with comprehensive knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems. The Heavy Machinery Garage Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the garage operations, managing a team of technicians, and ensuring the efficient and safe maintenance of our heavy machinery fleet. Responsibilities: 1. Supervision and Leadership: . Lead, mentor, and manage a team of technicians specialized in heavy machinery maintenance. . Coordinate and schedule tasks to ensure efficient workflow and minimal downtime. 2. Hydraulic Maintenance and Repair: . Oversee the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of hydraulic systems on heavy machinery. . Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify and address hydraulic issues promptly. . Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance on hydraulic components. 3. Electrical Systems: . Manage the maintenance and repair of electrical systems in heavy machinery. . Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems, ensuring timely and effective resolutions. . Implement upgrades and improvements to enhance electrical system performance. 4. Mechanical Systems: . Supervise the maintenance and repair of mechanical components in heavy machinery. . Conduct overhauls and rebuilds of mechanical systems as needed. . Implement preventive maintenance programs for optimal machinery performance. 5. Safety and Compliance: . Establish and enforce a strong safety culture within the garage, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. . Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for the team. 6. Inventory and Resource Management: . Monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts and materials for heavy machinery. . Optimize resource allocation to minimize downtime and enhance productivity. Qualifications: . Proven experience as a Garage Supervisor with a focus on heavy machinery hydraulic maintenance. . Strong background in electrical and mechanical systems of heavy machinery. . Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a technical team. . In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance. . Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. . Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Education: . High school diploma or equivalent. . Additional certifications or vocational training in heavy machinery maintenance is a plus. Experience: . Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, specializing in heavy machinery hydraulic maintenance.
