Job Description

The Heavy Vehicles Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy vehicles and equipment, including trucks, trailers, construction vehicles, and other machinery. The role requires strong technical expertise, troubleshooting skills, and working efficiently under minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on heavy vehicles. Have Experience with Construction Equipment such Excavator, Cranes, Generator (Minimum 5 Years) Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, brake inspections, and tire rotations. DC Electric knowledge is preferred (Not mandatory) Identify and replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, clutches, axles, and differentials. Conduct safety checks and ensure all repairs comply with industry and company standards. Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagnostic reports. Operate diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot vehicle issues. Maintain records of all repairs, parts used, and services performed. Follow workplace safety procedures and ensure proper use of tools and equipment. Collaborate with other mechanics and maintenance staff to optimize efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Diploma or certification in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electronic control units (ECUs). Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics. Experience using diagnostic tools and software. Physical ability to lift heavy parts and work in various weather conditions. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid UAE driving license (preferred but not mandatory).
Preferred Experience:

Hydraulic Knowledge is preferred Experience working with brands like Mercedes, Volvo, Scania, MAN, or Caterpillar (if applicable). Previous work experience in construction, transportation, or industrial sectors. Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and fleet management.
