Health and Safety Officer - Risk Compliance and Workplace Safety Abu Dhabi
Position Overview
First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) is seeking a Health and Safety Officer to support and enforce workplace safety standards, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and help implement the bank's Health & Safety Management System. The ideal candidate will hold relevant HSE certifications and contribute to creating a safe and compliant work environment.

What You'll Do

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of FAB's Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Conduct safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and relevant local health and safety laws
• Assist in identifying hazards, evaluating risks, and implementing preventive measures
• Maintain safety records, incident reports, and training documentation
• Collaborate with facilities, HR, and other departments to promote safety culture and awareness
• Participate in emergency response planning and first aid preparedness
• Provide regular updates and reports on workplace safety performance
• Support internal HSE training initiatives and toolbox talks
• Recommend corrective actions following audits or incidents and monitor implementation

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Health & Safety, Science, or Quality Management from a recognized university
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in occupational health and safety
• NEBOSH, ESC, NVQ, or equivalent HSE certification required
• Lead Auditor qualification in ISO 45001 is mandatory
• Basic First Aid training preferred
• Strong understanding of health and safety laws and risk assessment practices
• Good communication, observation, and reporting skills
