Rixos Qetaifan Island North Opening in 2023, Rixos Qetaifan Island North will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country's biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North's Waterpark attraction. The Icon Tower is the world's highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres. Health & Safety Supervisor Within the general guidelines given by the management, Health & Safety Supervisor is responsible to assist the Health & Safety Manager running the day-to-day operation of the Health & Safety department ensuring that safe work practices are implemented / conducted in all areas of the waterpark. Outlines safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards. Conducts regular site inspections to ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies and procedures. Prepares and maintains inspection records and produces reports that suggest improvements. Maintains incident records and produces statistics for management as required. Investigates and reports on all personal injury accidents and damage to property occurring in the waterpark and document in an incident report. Maintains a working knowledge of Health and Safety best practices and industry policy changes. Produces health and safety related reports, newsletters and bulletins. Advises on a range of specialist areas including fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases. Provides safety orientations and oversee the performance of all employees in order to ensure safe work practices are followed. Initiates and organizes safety awareness campaigns, including occupational safety workshops and training sessions, in an effort to ensure that students and staff observe established safety guidelines and procedures. Carries out regular safety and security inspections of various waterpark facilities, systems and equipment, including first-aid rooms, electrical systems, fire extinguishers and fire hydrants to ensure compliance with international standards. Your experience and skills include: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar position in the hospitality industry (5* Hotel or resort). High School diploma 2 years of H&S experience preferably in waterpark park environment Strong computer proficiency of Microsoft office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language Ability to speak other languages such as Arabic will be an advantage Your team & working environment: At Accor, we are Heartists!
