ENGIE\xe2\x80\x99s Global Business Unit for Thermal & Supply (T&S-GBU) is headquartered in Dubai for the region Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA). It mainly covers activities of development Objective To recruit highly qualified staff (internal and external) for the project companies and Operations & Maintenance companies of the GCC & Pak region, as well as for regional offices in Dubai, KSA & key positions across AMEA. Key Accountabilities:
  • Ensure all recruitment policies, procedures are adhered to and recommend improvements.
  • Work on sourcing diverse profiles for open positions which is also aligned with ENGIE targets on DNI
  • Source candidates through direct advertising, driving referrals, networking, to create cost effective pipelines of external candidates and future talent pools.
  • Provide professional support and advice on recruitment to line and departmental managers, and advice managers on best practice recruitment and selection.
  • Assist Management in the preparation of job descriptions and person specifications, write job advertisements and decide how and where jobs will be advertised (Internally & externally with priority given to group employees).
  • Sources new channels for recruitment and for employer branding.
  • Shortlist applicants, conduct interviews, psychometric tests and personality questionnaires and various assessments.
  • Interface with C&B to prepare offers for external hires and negotiating labour contracts in an international environment. Close working coordination with expat advisors for internal mobility candidates.
  • Manage Recruitment budget
  • Managing Preferred Supply Arrangements with third party providers to ensure quality and time lines of the assignment and the ability to meet the required lead times
  • Works closely with departments and OpCos, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures
  • Provides regular updates on vacancies to line managers
  • Work with the Head of HR GCC & Pak to ensure effective communication of recruitment activity and correct processes are followed in terms of vacancy authorization.
  • Provide a systematic approach on forecasting vacancies including internal mobility and support on strategic workforce planning.
  • Markets the company strategically, through various sources including business magazines, recruitment agencies and the internet, as a best employer to attract the best candidates to the organization.
  • To be able to partner HR projects for the overall success of the HR team.
  • Ensure the maintenance of an active and organized data bank of applicants.
  • Support the Head of HR GCC & Pak in preparing for audits.
Supporting Interfaces
  • Work with VP HR AMEA on key roles in the AMEA HUB
  • Work with any of the Country Head HR in AMEA to support specific recruitment needs


Reporting line
  • The Head of Talent Acquisition will report to Head of HR, GCC & Pak (T&S)

Degree / Experience
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • 8 years minimum in a similar role in the Middle East.
  • Experience in other HR domains is a plus.


Specific Knowledge / Skills
  • A profound knowledge of the work force market in the region is a strong plus.
  • Objectivity and the ability to apply HR rules and regulations in a fair and consistent matter.
