Position:

Head of Sales - FMCG Retail

Industry:

Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) - Retail Sector

Job Purpose:



To lead, develop, and execute the overall sales strategy for the FMCG retail division, ensuring sustainable revenue growth, market expansion, and achievement of profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities:



Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company objectives and market trends. Drive overall sales performance across retail outlets, modern trade, and key accounts. Manage and motivate the sales team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Analyze sales performance, market share, and customer trends to identify opportunities for growth. Oversee pricing, promotions, and trade marketing activities to maximize brand visibility and profitability. Ensure effective management of product availability, inventory turnover, and shelf visibility. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and business partners. Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and finance departments to ensure seamless execution of business plans. Monitor competitors' activities and propose counter-strategies to maintain market leadership. Lead business forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes for the retail sales division.

Qualifications & Experience:



Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred). Minimum

8-10 years

of progressive sales experience in FMCG, with at least

3-5 years in a leadership role

. Proven track record of achieving sales and profitability targets in retail or modern trade. Strong knowledge of FMCG market dynamics, pricing strategies, and retail distribution channels. Experience managing large sales teams and multi-brand portfolios. Proficiency in sales analytics, forecasting, and CRM systems.
