We have a new and exciting position for a Head of People for a retail business in Abu Dhabi.
The Head of People will be responsible for the delivery of strategic and operational HR requirements and initiatives. This role will lead a team of HR professionals, and partner with management to deliver a best in class HR service that drives an employee-oriented, high performance culture and emphasises quality, productivity and high standards.
Duties will include \xe2\x80\x93
Development of the Human Resources Department
Lead, motivate and develop a high performing HR function
Oversee the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives to drive business performance
Lead the development of department goals, objectives, and systems that align to business strategy
Ensure that all HR policies, programs, and practices are reviewed regularly and keep management informed of new developments
Preparation of regular reporting and updates on HR initiatives and metrics
Training and Development
Lead and direct the annual performance management process, including performance development plans and employee development programs
Recruitment
Lead the development of robust recruitment and onboarding processes to attract and retain a highly skilled and motivated workforce
Employee Relations
Ensure the effective communication of HR policies, procedures and programs to employees
Promote the development of positive employee relations and a high level of employee morale and motivation
Coach and advise managers performance, disciplinary and grievance procedures
Lead the implementation of company safety and health programs
Compensation & Benefits
Establish pay practices that help to recruit and retain high performing employees
Lead participation in salary surveys as necessary to understand and maintain competitive pay positioning in the local market
Obtain cost effective, employee focused benefits and monitor the national benefits environment on an ongoing basis for options and cost savings
Recommend changes in benefits offerings, especially new benefits aimed at employee satisfaction and retention
You must have a proven background in retail in the Middle East and Arabic speaking is desired.
