The Role
Roles and Responsibilities \xe2\x80\xa2 Taking the lead in managing the selling and other engagement process with customers \xe2\x80\xa2 Developing, implementing, and monitoring all logistics management activities required for the timely and efficient transportation and distribution of products, ensuring excellent customer service and value adding for existing customers, to secure maximum profitability, client satisfaction and client retention \xe2\x80\xa2 Increasing gross profit and volumes to achieve economies of scale and service reliability \xe2\x80\xa2 Partnering with the Toll network to increase gross profit and volume in the Branch \xe2\x80\xa2 Overseeing operational performance, monitor branch KPI\xe2\x80\x99s and continuously improve branch performance \xe2\x80\xa2 Leading the Branch team and developing their capability and performance \xe2\x80\xa2 Improving Branch operational process, and improve operational efficiency and administration \xe2\x80\xa2 Actively supporting the organisation\'s vision and strategy, and by providing strategic recommendations Team Management and Development \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide leadership to the Branch administration team. \xe2\x80\xa2 Complete relevant s and KRA\xe2\x80\x99s. \xe2\x80\xa2 Mentor the team and lead them to best administrative practise. \xe2\x80\xa2 Comply with Company Learning & Development guidelines and arrange relevant training for the team \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure that all outstanding accounts receivable are maintained within Company guidelines. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure compliance with Company Occupational, Health, Safety and Environment Standards. \xe2\x80\xa2 Work cooperatively with TGF GM/State Manager to ensure all above is achieved. Client Implementation \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare the Client Implementation Plan and oversee the process including: \xe2\x80\xa2 Complete SOP to meet client requirements \xe2\x80\xa2 Brief all relevant stakeholders including the client service delivery team Client Retention & Development \xe2\x80\xa2 Identify Project and Resource opportunities that deliver value for both the client and Wefreight \xe2\x80\xa2 Identify potential issues and provide proactive problem solving \xe2\x80\xa2 Involve yourself in client \xe2\x80\x98Moments of truth\xe2\x80\x9d and escalate/resolve to the client\'s satisfaction Client Profitability \xe2\x80\xa2 Identify opportunities to develop new services and revenue whilst reducing our cost to serve

Requirements
  • Knowledge of customer retention \xe2\x80\xa2 Global forwarding operations & market (i.e. competitors, carriers, clients & services) \xe2\x80\xa2 Local logistics market knowledge. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience dealing with customers, with a strong customer focus and service ethic \xe2\x80\xa2 10+ years in global forwarding and/or specialised transport industry with operation &/or business development skills. Relevant people management and leadership experience.
