THE POST Aldar Education is currently seeking a Manager - Operational Risk & Security to support our growing family of owned and operated schools in the UAE. Due to planned current and future expansion we are looking to add to our current Operations team supporting our British, US and IB curricula network of schools. This is an exciting opportunity to join the highly successful Aldar family of schools and to help shape the future of Abu Dhabi's leading school group. Successful candidates will combine excellent track records of effective management experience, developed in the UAE, UK, USA or other international settings, with strong inter-personal skills and cultural awareness with the ability to manage the demands and needs of a wide range of stakeholders from Director level to parents, teachers and Principals. Exceptional communication skills combined with being a visible leader and ambassador for the company are central to this role as is a good grasp of the commercial demands of a private school setting. The role requires strategic thinking combined with a firm grasp of how to ensure outstanding operational standards across the school. The position will report into the Group Head of Operational Risk & Safety and form part of the HQ Operations Leadership Team to support the development of the Operations, Administration and Support Services teams across the group. A strong operations and risk management background is essential as this role will support with implementing and developing group wide operational strategy and policy. The successful candidates will be closely aligned with our core values and ethos and possess a genuine understanding and appreciation of the values of the region. RESPONSIBILITIES Foster a culture of 'no hurt, no harm', through an open coaching mentality, focused on supporting dialogue and a no blame mentality. To be the primary point of contact for all school staff on Operational Risk, Safety, Student Travel, Security Services and Sustainability, including services, legal and legislation, standards, implementation, applicable policies and guidelines. Support all stakeholders, both upward and downward, in the effective management of Operational Risk for group staff. Manage the E-Reporting management system, providing reports and dashboards for all relevant stakeholders. Coordinate and manage internal training in co-ordination with our training academy and external stakeholders. Manage the internal monitoring, document control and review of our Safety Management System, in line with ISO45001, including risk assessment and execution of controls. Manage the internal monitoring, document control and review of our Environmental Management System, in line with ISO14001, including waste stream mapping and sustainability monitoring. Oversee the continual development and adherence to the group Critical Incident Response Protocols. Lead the student travel portfolio with appointed providers, ensuring students benefit from expeditions with impact.

REQUIREMENTS Minimum Qualifications Minimum High school diploma / degree of higher education; or Related industry qualification, of graduate level, for the assigned functional area(s). Certificate of NEBOSH although IOSH Grad preferable. Minimum Experience At least 2 years' experience in a mid-level position within a risk management role Job Specific Knowledge & Skills Fluent English communication skills, written and oral. Attention to detail with diligent follow up, and able to execute in a timely manner. Skilled in multi-tasking and handling pressure. Organizational ability, of self and others. Forethought and forward planning (particularly as this relates to local Government compliance matters). Capable of influencing people and talented in networking with cultural sensitivity. Good interpersonal skills and supervisory skills. Commercial acumen. Initiate effort and energy beyond the typical work day, where the tasks require additional commitment.
