Job description:As the Head of Merchandising, you will play an important role in our company by overseeing the marketing, branding, and promotion of the company?s products. This managerial position requires strong leadership skills, in addition to creativity and knowledge of market trends. Industry experience is the most important prerequisite. Job Location: Dubai Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure the brand delivers business plan profit through delivery of both volume and cash margin, maintaining brand profitability by management of full price and mark down sales, intake margins, level of markdown activity and terminal stock.
- Implement Sales, Open To Buy (OTB) and Markdown plans and monitor performance through seasons.
- Develop and drive all mark down activity in liaison with Buying Managers and Brand Directors based on merchandise plans, open-to buy revisions, promotional calendar, merchandise cycle, and historical markdown rates and sell-thru, to maintain gross margin.
- Ensure effective management of deliveries, replenishment, allocations, inter store transfers and inventory ageing to minimize obsolescence.
- Graduate degree in any Business / Finance related subject
- Qualification in Retail related field is an added advantage.
- 5+ years as Merchandising Manager for footwear brands and categories.
- 2+ years regional experience of working in a multicultural environment and handling planning & merchandising of multiple countries across the GCC.
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
