Who You Are
The Head of Market Strategy manages and leads the Market Strategy team, which executes 500 Global's entry into new markets through an established multi-stage process that is generally expected to culminate in the formation of an investment fund for a specific sector, country or region. This role will need to optimize the roadmap for doing so - balancing the need for scalability across multiple markets and the importance of hyperlocalization in each, while having appreciation and respect for differing cultures and business practices.
This role is a key node interfacing between the Group Strategy Team which sets organizational priorities and strategy, and the Market Strategy team which executes on goals developed around that strategy. The ability to quickly grasp technical and commercial concepts and apply them to specific considerations or priorities will be critical, as is a strong sense of judgment and ability to anticipate outcomes and stakeholder needs.
This role leads the definition of processes, solutions and outcomes in situations which are fast evolving, ambiguous and where limited information may be available, to accelerate the efforts of the Market Strategy team. This may include evaluating new commercial opportunities for strategic alignment, developing a compelling narrative and value proposition for specific initiatives, refining a go-to-market plan which balances what's feasible vs. expected outcomes, and modeling financial outcomes.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills will be critical of this role, which will represent the interests of the team and ensure that cross-functional and leadership teams are aligned and equipped to execute seamlessly alongside the Market Strategy team.
This role is remote but candidates in Singapore or Dubai would be preferred for timezone alignment.
