About the School
The Westminster School, Dubai, is a private school founded in 1995 and is located in the Al Qusais Area. It provides education from Foundation Stage to year 13 (3-18 years). The current student population stands at more than 5000 from over 70 nationalities. This makes the School the largest English curriculum school in the UAE.
The Westminster School follows the National Curriculum for England and prepares students to take the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), Advanced Subsidiary (AS) and A Level Examinations of the Universities of Cambridge, Oxford AQA and Pearson Edexcel
The Role
There are few Schools in the world which offer this type of opportunity for experience and progression. We are looking to appoint an outstanding and exceptional Head of Key Stage 5 (Sixth Form). The successful candidate will play a major role in the Middle Leadership Team supporting the Executive Leadership Team in leading the whole school strategically, operationally and financially.
The Head of Key Stage 5 (Sixth Form) will be responsible for the academic progress of the students of Key Stage 5 and the day to day running of Sixth Form. He/ She will assist in shaping and implementing the educational strategy of the school.
It is hoped that the successful applicant will take up this new post in first week of October 2022.

Applicants will be fully qualified teachers with significant leadership experience, preferably within a UK curriculum environment.

- Be an effective and dynamic leader (Head or exceptional Deputy) with a proven track record in school improvement; moreover, possessing real gravitas and presence within a school community.
- Be rigorous in promoting excellence and developing commitment to high standards of care and opportunities for all.
- Be able to demonstrate a comprehensive and confident knowledge of delivery at KS5 and post-16 (AS & A Level experience is essential).
- Be able to demonstrate genuine passion towards the wider co-curricular life of a school.
