Role: The Head of Data Analytics is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the data analytics function within the organization. This role is instrumental in leveraging data to drive informed decision-making, optimize business operations, and create data-driven strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of data analysts, data scientists, and data engineers, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation - Develop and execute a data analytics strategy aligned with the company\'s overall business objectives. Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for data-driven decision-making - Oversee the collection, storage, and quality assurance of data from various sources, ensuring data is accurate, reliable, and compliant with relevant data regulations - Lead the analysis of data to extract valuable insights, trends, and patterns. Develop and implement predictive and prescriptive analytics to drive strategic recommendations - Collaborate with data visualization experts to create meaningful dashboards, reports, and data visualization tools to facilitate decision-making and communicate results to stakeholders - Establish and maintain data governance practices, ensuring data security, compliance, and data access policies are in place - Allocate resources effectively, manage project priorities, and ensure timely delivery of analytics solutions - Keep abreast of emerging technologies and tools in data analytics and make recommendations for technology adoption to enhance the analytics capabilities of the team - Act as a liaison between the data analytics team and various business units, effectively communicating results and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders - Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of data analytics efforts and regularly report on the progress to the executive team
Requirements: - Bachelor\'s degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics), with a Master\'s degree preferred - Proven experience in data analytics, data science, or a related field, with at least 10 years in a leadership role - Strong proficiency in data analytics tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL, etc.) - Demonstrated expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.) - Knowledge and experience in cloud technology (e.g., Azure/AWS) would be beneficial - In-depth knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance - Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills - Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities - Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing complex projects - Familiarity with industry-specific data and regulations (if applicable)
