Head of Customer Support BAE Systems Oman Ltd (Branch) We currently have a vacancy for a Head of Customer Support, BAE Systems Oman Ltd (Branch) the role is based in Muscat. Reporting directly to the Vice President the Head of Customer Support, BAE Systems Oman Ltd (Branch) is the prime BAE Systems Oman in-country interface with the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) Headquarters (RAFO HQ) senior officer Customer community (Air Commodore 1* Star/Group Captain level) for the Typhoon and Hawk contracted scope of work. This role is responsible for the maintenance and ongoing development of senior key stakeholder relationships (Customer Intimacy) at RAFO HQ in order to ensure consistency of communications between all areas of the BAE Systems Oman Business and RAFO HQ. The role provides crucial support to BAE Systems on-base personnel at RAFO Adam and RAFO Masirah and the UK based BAE Systems Oman Ltd Team and, as such, is a member of the Oman Business Senior Leadership Team (SLT). Your main responsibilities as Head of Customer Support BAE Systems Oman Ltd (Branch) will involve: Lead the BAE Systems Oman (Branch) Typhoon and Hawk Customer Support Managers and team members in execution of their individual and collective contract commitments. Be the prime interface with the RAFO HQ senior customer community, for ensuring robust customer support is provided; covering all Project Management aspects of the Typhoon and Hawk contracts. Responsible, as the prime programme interface with the RAFO HQ senior customer community, for supporting on-shore (Oman based) and off-shore (UK based) BAE Systems Oman personnel in the delivery of the Typhoon and Hawk contracts and all associated deliverables. Maintaining and further maturing robust Customer and BAE Systems Oman stakeholder engagement at all levels within RAFO HQ. Responsible for the successful running of the in-country Muscat Branch Office. Responsible for providing all relevant Company reporting and management data to the Head of Contract Delivery (BAE Systems Oman Ltd) in accordance with Company processes and programme delivery timescales. Accountable for the delivery of all the Muscat based Branch Office contract deliverables to cost, quality and schedule. Essential skills and qualifications: Proven experience and expertise in the delivery of complex and complicated aircraft availability sustainment contracts (Fast-jet). Experience, expertise and understanding of aircraft engineering, aircraft maintenance, logistics and procurement. Comprehensive understanding of operating within a regulatory environment where an integrated safety management system and associated quality control/assurance systems are fundamental to successful delivery of capability. Extensive experience operating closely with the End-User (Aircrew), Air Force Headquarters (HQ) and Defence Materiel (Capability Procurement) in support of Aircrew Training and delivery of Operational Capability (Fast-jet). Proven Project Management skills and expertise (within associated qualifications/experience); including resource planning and management. Strong overall Business Acumen; complimented by robust commercial and financial experience, knowledge and understanding. Proven delivery in support of Air Force customer programmes; ideally in the context of support in a non-UK based environment. Experience in Business Development, Business Winning and Capture Management. Deep understanding and experience of delivery in an environment where Flight Safety, Product Safety and Personal Safety (all aspects of Safety, Health and the Environment) are central to operating safely in an Integrated Safety Management environment. Deep understanding and experience of Quality Management Systems and Protocols (Quality Control and Quality Assurance) in the delivery of Quality Products and Services. Proven experience and expertise operating in the Defence Environment; where a comprehensive knowledge of the Customer, Competitors and platform (fast-jet aircraft focused) capabilities are pivotal to delivery of extant contracts and in securing emergent opportunities (Delivery and Capture). Experience of supporting senior air force customers (up to and including 1* Star) in delivery of capability in a non-UK based environment. Proven stakeholder management in a multifaceted organisational structure. Tactical delivery of capability within a Strategic framework (Understanding and supporting the Commander's Intent). Educated to Degree level in a relevant subject.
