Head of Business Intelligence and Sales Analytics Primary Job Function: The primary job function of the Head of Business Intelligence and Sales Analytics is to lead and oversee the development and implementation of the organization\'s business intelligence and sales analytics strategies. This involves leveraging data insights, advanced analytics techniques, and business acumen to provide valuable insights and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. The role encompasses responsibilities such as data analysis, performance monitoring, reporting, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement in the use of data and analytics to optimize sales performance and achieve overall business objectives.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Lead the development of a framework for the Data-based insights\xe2\x80\x99 process across Emerging Markets to track and diagnose performance, inform Commercial Operation decisions and drive Commercial effectiveness to achieve excellence. Oversee and provide support to Management and guidance to Teams by:
  • Develop and execute the business intelligence and sales analytics strategy: Lead the development and execution of the business intelligence and sales analytics strategy aligned with the organization\'s overall business goals. Define key performance indicators (KPIs), data requirements, and frameworks for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Conduct data analysis and generate actionable insights: Utilize advanced analytics techniques and tools to analyze large datasets and generate actionable insights to Provide meaningful recommendations.
  • Design and maintain reporting systems and dashboards: Create and maintain comprehensive reporting systems and dashboards that provide accurate and timely insights. Develop key metrics, visualizations, and reports to monitor sales performance, track KPIs, and facilitate informed decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with Commercial IT, Commercial Excellence, Sales, marketing, finance, and other relevant stakeholders to gather data requirements, align on KPIs, and deliver actionable insights. Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure data-driven decision-making and maximize the impact of analytics on business outcomes.
  • Continuously improve data quality and analytical capabilities: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality, integrity, and accessibility. Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies to advance data analytics capabilities. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in business intelligence and sales analytics.
  • Indirectly Lead and Support regional Business Intelligence team to foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and innovation within the team.
Position Accountability/Scope:
  • Work in a Matrix environment and in a Cross-functional manner to lead Project teams of Commercial IT, Business Intelligence and Commercial Excellence members in the Regions and Affiliates and work collaboratively and smoothly with all other functions in the organization.
  • Partner with Key regional functions and Local Commercial Stakeholders to identify, prioritize and implement Key projects in EM.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree (or higher) in Business (Marketing, Strategy and/or Business\xe2\x80\x99 Analytics).
  • Certifications or specialized training in business intelligence, data analytics, or sales analytics
  • MBA/Advanced degree is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Min 10 years with mixed experience in Commercial and Business Intelligence.
Competencies and Skills:
  • Functional Expertise: A solid foundation of experience in Sales strategy, Business analytics and Commercial effectiveness, and correlating financial data, analysis and forecasting as part of the Business planning process.
  • Strong Technical skills in Power BI, Microsoft applications and Business Analysis tools and full understanding of Pharmaceuticals KPIs and specific datasets.
  • Analytical Mindset & Problem-solving skills with an ability to generate insights and develop relevant and realistic Action plans.
  • Leading Transformation and Change: Demonstrated success in shifting mindset, process and focus to ensure commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability. Actively engages and aligns others to support this change mindset.
  • Strong ability to simplify complex concepts & strategies.
  • Impact & Influence: Building personal credibility and strong working relationships, Ability to influence teams across organizational and geographical barriers, and with no Direct Authoritative position.
  • Strong communication/influencing skills and Executive presence.
  • Team and project leadership and project management (planning, prioritization, execution).
