Owns many of the most important and influential B2B exhibitions in Food, Pharma, Healthcare and Technology. The technology division is new and growing portfolio under the Informa Markets umbrella. This role will lead the audience data strategy for the tech portfolio including LEAP which has a global, seismic impact, Black Hat one of Informa Techs most strategic brands and an exciting new launch.
We are now looking for a Head of Audience data to join our team to build our strategy and go-to-market plan for engaging and monetizing our audience data.
The Opportunity
The Head of Audience Data will take responsibility for building marketing services revenue and unlock the value of our audience data by allowing customers in our markets to access buyers at all stages of the funnel (including, but not limited to, digital advertising, content marketing, lead-generation, webinars, virtual events, research and white papers, audience engagement and development).
You will be responsible for developing the Informa Markets, Tech commercial strategy and road map for expanding and scaling our existing content and audience data business.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DUTIES
Use your knowledge and experience to create an effective, detailed go-to-market plan to scale and win market share across our Tech vertical, with a clear pathway to how we create revenue growth, and which supports the Tech vision and growth ambitions.
Accountable for the development and implementation of commercial strategy, planning, and team, working across the entire customer lifecycle: driving the overall profitability of the business, delivering agreed revenue targets (both new and existing business) and leading sales and marketing efforts.
Drive effective execution of this plan, owning the P&L, and relevant levers necessary to achieve strong results (content production, search engine optimization, CRO optimization, distribution etc).
Define and develop the delivery function.
Leading the editorial and content strategy and establishing ways of working, processes, introducing new systems and reports to ensure this team are successful in expanding this revenue opportunity.
Develop and implement partnerships and strategic alliances, to expand our reach and amplifying the revenue.
Lead the client account planning and partner with key stakeholders from within the team to determine the most effective approaches to driving growth with our strategic accounts.
Build and implement commercial best practices, systems, and processes.
Lead the development of our pricing strategy, marketing plan and sales forecast accuracy and KPI's.
Develop competitive intelligence to review and support commercial strategies.
Contribute to developing the M&A pipeline
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Leadership experience in agency / content / marketing services business.
Proven and successful commercial leadership, gained in a high-value B2B environment.
Experience of successfully managing P&L's, budgets and working to commercial KPIs.
Knowledge of systems and processes that underpin and optimise a content function.
Experience managing a team of in-house and freelance writers and editors.
Excellent SEO knowledge and expert awareness of audience development.
Proven career in editing and content production background, with business experience.
Extensive knowledge of price points and developing a viable pricing strategy
Qualifications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Excitement around driving business growth and optimizing performance, with the drive and tenacity to create a capability that is the very best of its kind.
Proven ability to design, scale and successfully deliver a go-to-market plan for data driven 365 digital marketing services.
Strong communication skills. You will build relationships with external stakeholders, manage editorial and content contributors, both in-house and freelancer (via hard and dotted lines), report up to internal stakeholders and foster strong alignment with your team. This all requires clear, direct communication and follow-through.
Entrepreneurial spirit. This is a unique chance to build and scale a new business proposition
Willingness to be hands on whilst in build mode but comfortable to flex and acts as the strategic lead and thought leader in this area of expertise. We are in growth mode, and you'll be wearing a lot of different hats on a given day. You need to be flexible, adaptable, and be willing to "do whatever it takes" to get the job done.
Experience of nurturing talent and growing high-performing teams.
A lateral thinker with a strong grasp of global industrial and economic trends and the ability to continuously translate these implications into strategy, thought leadership and business plans.
Confident practitioner of value pricing.
High level of emotional intelligence, confidence, and ability to quickly build meaningful relationships at all levels, internally and externally/internationally.
A true team player, who is naturally consultative, able to work cross-functionally.
Dynamic, making things happen, proactive and tenacious self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit.
