Head of Acquiring Engineering Platforms - (Global Fintech) - Dubai

You will be leading the Engineering Team and responsible for driving software development and technology strategy across multiple platforms.

Managing the global engineering team for core platforms - card management and authorization systems you will work closely with architecture and solutions team.

• Leading and managing software development and platform engineering teams to develop, document and maintain the core platforms for payments and innovation
• Build a team of highly skilled engineers and ensure adequate capacity and technology
• Drive and oversee the implementation of architecture standard
• Define automation & architecture assessment process/criteria, standard assessment guidelines
• Working closely with the functional leads, drive the creation of a governance framework based on agile methodology for the end to end digital and product implementation
• Collaborate with the Technology infrastructure and security organizations to implement a scalable infrastructure, on premise or on cloud
• The team is cross functional and will include Developers across a variety of languages (Angular, Java, GO, Python, Ruby), within a large-scale distributed system, utilizing micro-services environment; as well Design (UI/UX) and Product teams

Experience

• 15+ years in IT / technology industry with 5 years or more in driving Digital transformation initiatives for payments or banking organizations
• Previous experience as Head/ Director/ CTO/ VP of a global software teams
• Extensive experience and engineering knowledge across range of Payment platforms particularly Card Management Systems, Interchange and switching, Loyalty / related payment systems
• Strong knowledge of ATM and POS device handlers and ISO message format
• Guide teams in design and scalable LINK interfaces for Global Card Schemes MasterCard, VISA
• Experienced in leading engineering teams using DevOps standards by setting up CI/CD pipeline through various technology platforms
• Proven experience in managing and developing Web based platform, API\'s, Microservices and other relevant and related technologies
• Track record of specifying, developing, and delivering software applications in a range of standards and languages like Golang, Python.
• Agile methodologies (SAFe) to ensure continuous improvement and delivery of products and services.
• Develop internal Payments ecosystem via regular update meetings, webinars, and training initiatives
• Proven management capabilities, leadership and vendor management skills - should have a lead a team of 200+ individuals in a multi-national environment and should have managed delivery with 2 or more vendor partner organizations
