Job Description
We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated Hands-on Head of Software Engineering to lead our Software engineering team in Jordan Job Responsibilities:
- As the Head of Software Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of our products, as well as managing software engineers.
- Lead and manage the software engineering team, providing technical guidance, and mentoring to team members.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of our products, ensuring high-quality deliverables on time.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, design, and operations to ensure alignment and smooth product launches.
- Identify and address technical challenges, provide solutions and alternatives, and ensure technical feasibility.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices, and guide the team in adopting new approaches and tools.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the software engineering team.
- Must be in Jordan or willing to relocate to Jordan.
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong technical skills in software architecture, design patterns, and programming languages.
- Strong experience in PHP, Laravel, and MySQL.
- Experience in leading and managing software engineering teams in an Agile. environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address technical challenges and provide solutions and alternatives.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality software products on time and within budget.
- Passion for technology and innovation, with the ability to stay up to date with emerging trends and best practices.
