Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a wide variety of
Indian dishes
(vegetarian and non-vegetarian), including curries, biryanis, tandoori items, breads, and snacks.
Ensure food is prepared according to the
menu specifications, recipes, and portion controls
.
Maintain
proper hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards
in the kitchen at all times.
Assist in
menu planning
,
ingredient selection
, and
daily food preparation schedules
.
Monitor inventory levels and inform the Head Chef or Supervisor of any shortages or required orders.
Ensure that all equipment and utensils are cleaned, maintained, and properly stored.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to meet deadlines and cater to large events efficiently.
Follow company policies, HACCP standards, and UAE food safety regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum
2-5 years of experience
as an Indian Cook or Chef in a catering company, hotel, or restaurant.
Proven ability to prepare
authentic North and South Indian cuisine
.
Knowledge of
food handling, hygiene, and safety standards
(HACCP certification preferred).
Ability to work in a
fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
