We are seeking a highly skilled, creative, and passionate
Head Chef / Executive Chef
to lead the culinary operations of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire kitchen, developing innovative menus, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety, and managing kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, presentation, and service quality.
Design and update creative, seasonal, and cost-effective menus that align with the restaurant's concept and customer preferences.
Manage and train kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
Monitor food inventory levels, place orders with suppliers, and ensure proper stock rotation to minimize waste.
Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and food hygiene laws.
Control food and labor costs to meet budgetary goals and optimize profitability.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless kitchen-to-table coordination.
Oversee scheduling, payroll input, and performance evaluations for kitchen team.
Handle special dietary requests and maintain consistency in food preparation and plating.
Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new techniques, ingredients, and culinary styles as appropriate.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a busy kitchen environment.
Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation standards.
Creativity and passion for food, presentation, and innovation.
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, cost control, and menu pricing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
