Description
We are looking for a highly qualified and innovative Head Chef take over our Coffee Shop Kitchen.
- Designing innovative breakfast and lunch menu to suit the theme of the restaurant and item pricing.
- Organising, employing, training new staff and motivating staff in the kitchen and on the restaurant floor.
- Leads pre-shift meetings.
- Handles and resolves customer complaints.
- Sets and implements the kitchen policies and procedures.
- Creating an overall vision and plan for the restaurant
- Keeping the kitchen fully equipped with all the tools and inventory
- Ensuring that the quality of food is consistently high and that hygiene standards are exceeded and follows all food safety laws.
- Assisting kitchen staff with food prep and recipe creation
- 5+ years of culinary education.
- Pastry and Baking recipes knowledge required.
- Passionate about cooking and create new recipes.
- The ability to write menus that are both creative and profitable.
- Advanced knowledge of food professional principles and practices.
- Excellent knowledge of BOH systems, ordering and inventory.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Available to work on-call, shifts, after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays.
