CORPORATE FINANCE & CONTROLS
Primary purpose of job

  • Plan, oversee and advise on the adequacy of ERP systems and system authorisation controls within Finance & Planning
Directorate to ensure that an adequate financial systems / system controls are in place to facilitate accounting for and
reporting on the financial and accounting transactions.
  • Plan, lead and manage all Business & Financial Systems related activities which include: (a) Financial Systems
improvement and implementation, (b) major Business Process Re-design / Improvement / Automation and implementation,
(c) System Authorizations and System Controls within QatarEnergy's regulations, policies and procedures, (d) Master Data
management and systems support, (e) QMS activities through Implementation of & reporting on management systems to
ensure QMS Surveillance, (f) Business Continuity Plan (BCP) for Finance & Planning Directorate, (g) Documents Controls
& Documents Management Systems, (h) maintenance and enhancement of Finance & Planning Intranet Website.
Experience & Skills
  • At least fifteen (15) years' experience in Finance & Accounting set-up with adequate exposure to financial and systems
controls, business process analysis and design or auditing requirements preferably within Oil & Gas Industry.
  • At least five (5) years within major oil company.
  • Analytical skills (SWOT and GAP) Analysis.
  • Organizational and Time Management / Project Management.
  • Problem solving, innovative and complex accounting and financial issue.
  • Communication and presentation skills.
Education
  • Graduate in Accounting with post-graduation is preferred.
  • Shall be a Chartered Accountant with a recognized professional qualification (ACCA or CPA)
  • SAP Training or Qualification / Certification is adding advantage.
