The baggage operations team, your goal is to ensure that every passenger has a seamless and enjoyable experience from the moment they check in their baggage to when they collect it at their destination. You will work alongside other professionals to oversee the efficient handling and transportation of passengers' baggage and ensure that all terminal facilities related to baggage operations, such as baggage drop-off and collection points, are properly maintained. Your focus will be on providing excellent customer service and ensuring that passengers feel valued and at the center of our operations.
What you'll deliver
You'll develop and implement a safe and effective Landside operations strategy, including performance targets and operational plans, in collaboration with peer groups, the Head of Terminals, and key stakeholders, while communicating issues to the Vice President of Landside & Facilities.
You'll ensure the availability of infrastructure and resources, with support from Planning & monitoring unit and Engineering Services, to enable duty team to deliver on the day
You'll manage the relationship with other stakeholders at the Landside level (3rd parties and other parts of the DIA organisation) to ensure the delivery of the operational goals
You'll initiate, encourage, support performance improvements activities & projects within the Landside to enhance the passenger experience at all touchpoints.
You'll conduct monthly briefings and performance reviews to communicate strategy and new procedures, act as the operational customer for Landside maintenance and enhancements, and monitor, analyse, and report performance and improvement actions to the Vice President of Landside & Facilities.
What you bring
You'll be educated to a bachelors degree level specialized in Business Administration/Hospitality Management / Airports & Aviation management / Terminal Operations Management.
You'll have at least 7-10 years of relevant experience.
You'll have experience in airport management, safety & security, infrastructure and facilities management, service partner management, and emergency, crisis, and disruption management, along with a background in aviation, facility management, hospitality, or a related field, strong customer service experience, proven influencing and negotiation skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
