Job Description

Role Overview:-

We are seeking a skilled IT Hardware Freelancer to support our team with on-demand projects related to system setup, hardware troubleshooting, upgrades, and maintenance. The ideal candidate has a strong background in computer hardware, peripheral devices, and network infrastructure, with the ability to deliver reliable solutions independently.

Key Responsibilities:-

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware-related issues for desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals.

Install, configure, and upgrade hardware components (RAM, HDD/SSD, graphics cards, motherboards, etc.).

Support in assembling and testing new systems as per project requirements.

Provide on-site or remote technical support for hardware failures.

Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Document issues, resolutions, and recommendations for future improvements.

Collaborate with internal IT and software teams to ensure seamless system performance.

Required Skills & Experience:-

Proven experience as IT Hardware Engineer/Technician or Freelancer.

Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and network basics.

Ability to diagnose and repair hardware malfunctions quickly and efficiently.

Familiarity with Windows based Server configurations and firewall configurations, servers, storage devices, and LAN/WAN hardware is an advantage.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:-

Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, CCNA, Microsoft, HP/Dell certifications) are a plus.

Experience in structured cabling and hardware inventory management, Windows based Server configurations and firewall configurations

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
