Job Description

The

Handyman

will perform mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, gypsum, and civil works. The role requires a versatile technician capable of independently handling day-to-day repair requests and supporting preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities1. Mechanical Works

Perform minor mechanical maintenance for pumps, motors, belts, fans, and HVAC support tasks. Assist in repairing mechanical equipment and conducting routine checks.

2. Electrical Works

Handle basic electrical troubleshooting for lights, sockets, switches, breakers, and wiring. Replace lamps, ballasts, fuses, and small power components. Ensure proper electrical safety practices.

3. Plumbing Works

Repair and replace taps, mixers, hoses, valves, and water heaters. Fix pipes, leaks, drainage issues, and bathroom fittings. Unblock drains and install minor plumbing fixtures.

4. Civil & Carpentry Works

Execute minor civil repairs such as patching, block work, tile fixing support, and small painting jobs. Perform carpentry work including door adjustments, locks, hinges, cabinets, shelves, and wooden repairs.

5. Gypsum & Partition Works

Install and repair gypsum walls, ceilings, and partitions. Fix cracks, joints, and ceiling tiles; carry out minor finishing work.

6. General Maintenance Duties

Carry out preventive maintenance as per schedule. Respond to breakdown calls and rectification tasks promptly. Maintain tools, materials, and safe working practices.

Skills & Competencies

Multi-skilled across MEP, civil, carpentry, and gypsum works. Strong problem-solving ability and practical troubleshooting. Knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Good communication and customer handling skills.
