Job Summary

The Building Handyman is responsible for carrying out general maintenance, minor repairs, and upkeep of building facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment. The role involves handling basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and civil maintenance tasks while responding promptly to maintenance requests.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and repair works including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting. Attend and resolve maintenance complaints and work orders in a timely manner. Inspect building facilities regularly to identify faults, damages, or safety hazards. Repair or replace fixtures such as lights, switches, sockets, taps, locks, doors, and tiles. Carry out minor civil works including patching, grouting, and wall repairs. Maintain HVAC-related minor works such as filter cleaning and basic troubleshooting. Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are used properly and safely. Follow company policies, safety procedures, and building regulations. Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors when required. Maintain records of completed maintenance tasks and report major issues to management. Ensure work areas are kept clean and safe at all times.

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum

2-3 years of experience

as a building handyman or maintenance technician. Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and civil maintenance works. Ability to read and understand basic maintenance instructions. Good communication and time management skills. Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks. Willingness to work flexible shifts if required.

Preferred Qualifications

ITI / Trade Certificate in maintenance-related field. Experience in residential, commercial, or high-rise buildings. Knowledge of UAE safety standards and facility management practices. Multi-skilled handyman experience is an advantage.

Working Conditions

On-site role in residential or commercial buildings. May require weekend or shift work. Involves physical work, including lifting and working at heights.

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,200.00 per month
