Group HR Manager - Confidential Client | Abu Dhabi, UAE
Acers Hospitality Consultants is partnering with a leading UAE-based hospitality and retail group to recruit a high-caliber HR Manager. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a seasoned HR professional who will play a vital role in shaping the employee experience and ensuring best-in-class HR operations across a multi-site organization of approximately 240 employees.
Our client operates a mix of high-end cafe outlets, catering services, and regional distribution. With a strong growth trajectory and a people-first leadership culture, the company is now seeking an HR Manager who combines strategic insight with hands-on execution to lead all core HR functions.
Position Overview
Reporting directly to the CEO, the HR Manager will lead the full scope of operational HR, including payroll, recruitment, employee relations, HR admin, and compliance. The role requires a pragmatic generalist with deep UAE labor law knowledge, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to execute policies and systems that align with organizational growth and culture. This position supervises a small HR support team and partners closely with senior management.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all day-to-day HR operations including contracts, records, and HR documentation in line with UAE labor law.
Lead end-to-end recruitment processes across multiple departments, from sourcing to onboarding.
Oversee monthly payroll processing and coordinate with Finance on employee compensation and benefits.
Ensure compliance with all labor and immigration regulations including visa processing, renewals, and documentation.
Develop and maintain HR policies and employee handbook aligned with company culture and regulatory requirements.
Support performance management, probation reviews, and employee development frameworks.
Handle employee relations issues and grievances with professionalism and discretion.
Coordinate HR logistics such as travel, relocation, onboarding, and offboarding procedures.
Manage relationships with external vendors including medical insurance, HR tech platforms, and training providers.
Generate monthly HR reports including headcount, turnover, absenteeism, and training progress.
Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (CIPD Level 5 or PHR preferred).
Minimum 5-8 years of progressive HR generalist or HR Manager experience, preferably within the UAE.
Strong command of UAE labor laws and HR regulatory frameworks.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence leadership.
Experience managing payroll and working with HRIS systems (Excel proficiency a must).
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-location hospitality or retail environment.
Highly organized, discreet, and solutions-oriented.
Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
