Group Data Governance Lead
Al-Futtaim Group is seeking a senior-level Data Governance Lead to develop and execute a comprehensive data governance strategy across its diversified business operations. This role will be responsible for enforcing data quality, security, compliance, and ownership standards to maximize the value of enterprise data assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement group-wide data governance frameworks, standards, and policies
• Lead data stewardship initiatives across all business units to ensure accountability
• Ensure compliance with data regulations including GDPR, DIFC, and UAE data protection laws
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, IT, and AI teams to align governance with business needs
• Oversee selection and implementation of data governance tools like Collibra or Informatica
• Monitor and improve data quality, integrity, and consistency through defined metrics
• Drive Master Data Management across customer, product, and supplier domains
• Promote data-driven culture through training, awareness, and stakeholder engagement
• Support cloud architecture integration and metadata management initiatives
• Lead automation and system enhancements for data governance operations

Requirements
Education and Experience

• Bachelor\'s or Master's degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum 15 years of experience in data governance or enterprise data strategy
• Proven leadership experience in large business groups or diversified industries
• Certification in CDMP, DCAM, or CIPP preferred
• Strong background in regulatory compliance, data privacy, and MDM

Skills

• Expertise in governance frameworks such as DAMA and DCAM
• Knowledge of data governance tools and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Proficiency in developing and presenting strategic data governance roadmaps
• Ability to lead enterprise transformation through data initiatives
