Job Description

Reports to: Group CEO / Board of DirectorsIndustry: Diversified Family Holding (Real Estate, Investments, Trading, Hospitality, etc.)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Group CFO to lead the financial strategy and governance of a well-established, UAE-based family-owned holding group with diversified business interests across sectors. The CFO will play a critical role in strategic planning, risk management, family office structuring, and optimizing financial performance across group entities.
This position requires prior experience working with family businesses or private conglomerates in the GCC, with the ability to balance professional governance with the unique dynamics of a legacy-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Group Financial Leadership
Develop and drive long-term financial strategy aligned with the familys vision and business goals.
Lead the financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes across all group entities.
Support the Board and CEO in investment decision-making, M&A, and divestment strategies.
Group Reporting & Controls
Oversee consolidated group reporting, treasury, accounting, and tax functions.
Implement and standardize financial policies, controls, and reporting structures across subsidiaries.
Ensure full regulatory and tax compliance across UAE and international operations.
Family Office Governance
Maintain strong relationships with family stakeholders while implementing governance frameworks.
Balance transparency, confidentiality, and discretion in reporting to the family.
Establish family wealth preservation mechanisms and advise on succession planning from a financial perspective.
Treasury & Cash Flow Optimization
Oversee liquidity planning, working capital management, and debt restructuring if required.
Optimize capital structure and banking relationships.
Audit, Risk & Compliance
Manage internal and external audits.
Establish enterprise risk management policies and controls.
Ensure adherence to international accounting standards (IFRS).
Key Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (Masters or MBA preferred).
Professional certification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or CMA is strongly preferred.
15+ years of financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years as a Group CFO or Group Financial Controller.
Mandatory experience in family-owned groups, family offices, or private conglomerates in the UAE/GCC.
Proven experience in managing diverse portfolios (real estate, trading, investments, etc.).
Strong understanding of corporate governance, board-level reporting, and cross-border compliance.
Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
