As a Subject Matter Expert in Supply Chain , the Global Procurement Specialist works closely with Engineering and Quality departments to analyze technical requirements, identify suitable suppliers, and negotiate contracts. This role involves evaluating the total cost of ownership related to the procurement process, availability of components, and supplier performance while cultivating strategic relationships. This role is responsible for acquiring materials and services to support local operations and special projects and will be accountable for meeting project timelines and critical outcomes by controlling cost efficiency and maintaining supplier quality.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll bring:
- An attested bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree certificate in business, management, or a related discipline preferred; and/or
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the management of materials and sourcing within a design and manufacturing environment;
- Must be willing and able to travel;
- APICS or SCMP designation preferred;
- Experience in total quality management, Six Sigma, or other similar methodologies;
- Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in manufacturing environment;
- SQL experience is considered an asset;
- Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBi;
- Solid technical writing and communication skills;
- Strong analytical problem\xe2\x80\x93solving ability.
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:
- Implement and enforce Supply Chain policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with cross-functional business teams to develop the best economic quality strategy for incoming goods.
- Work with the Supply Chain Manager and others as assigned to provide a quality and capability assessment on new vendors during the business evaluation period.
- Work with Supply Chain Management team to provide a quality and capability assessment of existing vendors as part of an ongoing supplier excellence program.
- Communicate technical advice and guidance to suppliers to reduce defect rates.
- Liaise between senior management and the vendors to identify quality issues and come up with solutions.
- Assure vendor compliance with McCoy\xe2\x80\x99s quality standards and procedures regarding calendar evaluations, performance monitoring (OTD, Defect Rate), and other audit requirements.
- Maintain detailed reports on supplier quality, including defect rates and areas that result in flaws.
- Review and process, Vendor Quality Notifications or SCARs.
- Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems and processes that support supplier quality and review.
- Draft and distribute Request for Proposals (RFPs) to potential vendors, outlining the specifications and requirements for products or services needed.
- Perform detailed cost analyses to identify optimal procurement options aligned with budget constraints and quality standards.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous contract terms and conditions.
- Oversee the entire ordering process, from initial requisition to final delivery, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Adhere to established company policies, procedures, terms and conditions, and legal matters.
- Participate as a member of the operations team in making cross-functional operational decisions.
- Participate in MRB and CAR meetings to resolve quality issues working with both internal and external resources.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by implementing, maintaining, and aligning company policies that adhere to local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
- Enforce and monitor of internal KPIs for materials activity (tracking and resolution) and external KPIs of suppliers\' overall performance.
- Prepares routine and special reports as required.
- Assume leadership in working with key internal company personnel to establish sound and effective business strategies.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
