We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented

Geologist

to join our

Geotechnical Laboratory

team. The Geologist will be responsible for analyzing soil, rock, and groundwater samples to determine their physical and mechanical properties. The role supports geotechnical investigations by conducting laboratory testing, preparing reports, and ensuring data accuracy to assist in engineering design and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Collect, prepare, and analyze soil, rock, and water samples for geotechnical properties. Perform laboratory tests including but not limited to: Atterberg limits Grain size analysis (sieve and hydrometer) Moisture content Specific gravity Compaction tests (Standard/Modified Proctor) Shear strength (direct shear, triaxial) Consolidation tests Unconfined compression tests Interpret test data and prepare accurate laboratory test reports. Maintain proper documentation and laboratory logs in accordance with quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) protocols. Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure it is operating in accordance with industry standards. Assist in field investigations as required (e.g., borehole logging, sampling). Work closely with geotechnical engineers and project managers to support project needs. Adhere to safety and environmental regulations within the laboratory.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related Earth Science field. 1-3 years of experience in a geotechnical laboratory environment preferred (entry-level candidates may be considered).
