\xc2\xb7 The Geologist shall conduct research, interpret geological / geophysical data, construct geological models, evaluate existing/ potential oil fields and support well-site in order to facilitate efficient oil field exploitations.
\xc2\xb7 Organise / undertake field investigations including subsurface mapping, logging, sampling, field testing etc, seismic/well data as per company\xe2\x80\x99s procedures in order to identify and prepare maps / diagrams depicting stratigraphic correlation / structural analysis for the oil fields to estimate oil reserves in proven or prospective fields and facilitate increase in productivity of existing oil fields whilst supporting exploitation of unexplored areas.
\xc2\xb7 Develop/update geological models as per the findings from well/seismic data analyses in order to identify/ recommend locations for best reserve recovery/new well drilling
\xc2\xb7 Prepare logging program (wireline logging and mudlogging), explain the details of operations to the Service Companies, and supervise the operations at the well-site in order to ensure accurate logging is carried out as per set HSE/Quality standards.
\xc2\xb7 Ensure accurate updating of the system ("Petrel") with all data/analyses in order to support ongoing field studies.
\xc2\xb7 Prepare periodical and progress reports to keep management informed about the progress of various initiatives and to facilitate decision making
\xc2\xb7 Ensure timely logging of all related activities as per set standards in order to facilitate availability of historical data for future referencing purposes.

Requirements

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences or similar. Good knowledge of petroleum, geology of Abu Dhabi
\xc2\xb7 In-Depth Knowledge on software such as "Petrel" and "IP" and experience in 3D Geological Modelling.
\xc2\xb7 12+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as geologist in oil & gas industry
\xc2\xb7 Experience of carbonate(Limestone and Dolomite) reservoirs.
\xc2\xb7 Experience of projects in Abu Dhabi
\xc2\xb7 Fluent English in speaking and report writing is required.
\xc2\xb7 Strong knowledge of geological basics needed for evaluations and volumetric estimations.
\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of drilling and other oil field operations.
\xc2\xb7 Basic knowledge and experience of petrel, and industry standard geosteering software such as Winlog and Starsteer are required. Geosteering experience and work experience in the Gulf area, offshore fields and sour gas field are plus.
\xc2\xb7 Working Hours Abu Dhabi: 07:00 to 15:00 (5 days a week) \\ Offshore: 06:30 to 18:30 (1 hour lunch break, 7-days a week)
