YOOX NET-A-PORTER is now seeking a talented General Manager to lead our team based in the Middle East.

The General Manager of the Joint Venture between YNAP and Symphony is a senior, results-driven executive with 20+ years' experience. They should represent YNAP and its shareholders' interests locally and globally by driving business growth, building a dynamic team, and representing the JV internally and externally.

The GM will liaise with Managing Directors of YNAP brands (NET-A-PORTER, MR PORTER, The OUTNET, YOOX) as well key stakeholders across the business to ensure YNAP's global standards are maintained, while growing the Middle East business according to local opportunities. They will be responsible for the management of the JV (with Mr. Alabbar) and will report to the YNAP Chief Regional Officer, who sits in the Executive Committee of the company.

Here is a breakdown of what you'll be doing:

• Formulate and implement the strategic plan that supports the direction of YNAP business in the Middle East
• Oversee all business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are aligned with the Group's strategy and mission and with the brands' global positioning
• Build and lead the senior team to translate the vision and strategy into a set of growth targets.
• Build a marketing plan per brand, leveraging PR and branding budgets across 6 GCC markets, working closely with key stakeholders within the media community
• Build a commercial plan per brand, aimed at effectively integrating local initiatives into the global plans built by the brands centrally
• Grow our EIP base (Extremely Important People, i.e., the top customers of NET-A-PORTER and MR PORTER) through ongoing relationships nurtured by the Personal Shoppers and ad hoc initiatives (events) managed by our EIP Sales Team
• Broaden the relevance of our Fine Jewelry and Watches categories, making them an even stronger component of our revenue mix
• Be responsible for the management of the Joint Venture between YNAP Group and Alabbar Enterprises (strategy, operations, and relation with the Board of Directors)
• Work closely with the CFO of YNAP (locally represented by a regional Finance Manager) and the JV partner to prepare annual budgets and advise the Board of Directors with regard to investment risk and return
• Support all global policies while implementing local policies and procedures
• Support the company's hiring strategy to ensure the best talent is hired and build a credible, efficient, and knowledgeable organization
• Partner with the Executive team and drive the People strategy to become an employer of choice within the GCC.

The type of person we are looking for:

• Master's Degree in Business Administration . 15+ years of experience in senior management roles. At least 10 years' experience in the GCC
• Digital/retail or omnichannel experience is essential, for managing operational requirements across the 6 GCC markets; marketplace background is a plus
• Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets, balance sheets, and reporting
• Market knowledge to grow all four brands' Equity in 6 markets
• Leadership skills, including the ability to manage teams effectively and handle both internal and external conflicts
• Ability to work in a matrix environment, mastering the balance between "control" and "influence"
• Strong knowledge of local laws and ensuring the business is protected against any risks
• Promote the highest standard of diversity and inclusion within the team and within the HR community
• Ability to negotiate and structure complex contracts and engage with stakeholders across the business to deliver results
• Arabic language skills not mandatory, but a plus
