Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven General Manager with a strategic focus on business development, client acquisition, and revenue generation. The ideal candidate will act as a Client Representative and spearhead the expansion of our portfolio. This role demands an entrepreneurial leader with a strong technical background, business acumen, and the ability to drive sustainable growth in a highly competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Revenue Generation:

Develop and execute business development strategies to expand the client base and increase market share. Identify new project opportunities and lead proposal development, pricing strategies, and tender submissions. Build strong, long-term relationships with clients, developers, investors, and government entities. Represent the company in industry events, conferences, and networking platforms to generate leads and increase visibility. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to inform strategic direction. Drive revenue growth through diversification of services, cross-selling, and strategic partnerships.

Operational & Strategic Leadership:

Act as the Client Representative on key projects, ensuring expectations are met and exceeded. Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient execution of projects and service delivery. Lead and manage cross-functional teams including engineers, project managers, and business support staff. Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Implement and monitor KPIs for business development, financial performance, and project delivery. Provide guidance on contractual, commercial, and regulatory aspects of projects. Promote a high-performance culture aligned with the firm's goals and values.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (MBA or Master's in Business/Management is a strong advantage). Minimum of 10+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in a project management or engineering consultancy firm. Proven track record in business development, client acquisition, and revenue generation in the construction, real estate, or engineering sectors. Strong technical understanding of project lifecycles and engineering consultancy services. Demonstrated experience as a Client Representative managing high-value, complex projects. Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience in P&L management. Existing network of clients and industry contacts is highly desirable. PMP or other project management certifications are an asset. Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
