Job Category: Administration : Provide overall leadership and management of facility operations. Drive the strategic direction for NMC Royal Women's Hospital. Serve as the primary liaison between the hospital, the corporate office, and senior executives of external organizations. Ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of assigned healthcare facilities, overseeing all related operational resources. Responsibilities:
Coordinates the actions of all the assigned departments and ensure the smooth functioning.
Actively participates in JCI accreditation project.
Plays a key role in the HIS implementation.
Oversees major workforce and resource decisions for all facilities departments assigned.
Ensures compliance with government regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies.
Accountable for the overall success of operations and financial management of the hospital, to lead and oversee the development of operating and strategic plans.
Member of the Hospital Management Executive committee and participates with the leaders of the governing body, management and medical staff in development of facilities plans, programs and policies.
Attends to system development, quality, fiscal management, work culture enhancement, internal communication and consensus-building.
Responsible for ensuring optimum utilization of all assets of the organization, including safety, security and periodical maintenance.
Responsible for developing and implementing all service operating policies pertaining to patient care.
Responsible for developing and fostering effective collaboration between departments / division management and other affiliated services (inside and outside of the hospital) to ensure an integrated approach to providing services.
Responsible for smooth functioning of all Departments
Reviews employee performance is evaluated by their respective managers, ensuring reviews occur as scheduled annually for each employee.
Manage staff employees in accordance with the facilities polices utilizing principles of practice and fairness.
Reviews and approves the disciplinary action and / or discharge of the relevant employees.
Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein, as may be assigned or delegated by the Supervisor.
Lead the development of appropriate OSH management system through the integration of OSH into the entities management structure, processes and culture and the regular monitoring and review of OSH performance.
OSH roles and responsibilities include:
ultimately responsible for the entities OSH performance.
set a clear OSH policy;
allocate adequate resources for OSH management (eg. Budget, human resources, equipment, etc);
allocate responsibility for OSH management and delegation of authority;
ensure implementation of the risk management program(s);
ensure the entity has effective systems for the provision of OSH information, training and supervision; and
Ensure that entity have effective emergency procedures
Comply with reasonable OSH instructions, policies and safe working procedures
Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems.
Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures
Not willfully or recklessly endanger anyone's health and safety
Assist with the preparation of risk assessments
Report OSH Hazards, incidents, Near misses and issues
Reduce, Reuse, Recycling of waste as much as possible
Attend all OSH Trainings, awareness programs and mock drills.
Participates in the OSHMS audits, inspections, ensuring standards are maintained.
Qualifications:
Post- graduate in Hospital Administration or equivalent is required.
Excellent command over oral and written English, knowledge in Arabic is desirable.
Computer Literacy.
A minimum of eight years' experience in hospital operations at the administrative leadership Level.
Ability to review procedures and implement new models of service delivery to satisfy client and organizational requirements.
Demonstrated commitment to quality outcomes and ability to consult with staff regarding continuous improvement.
Excellent command of oral and written English. Arabic language advantageous/desirable but not essential.
